The name as it is now, for planning purposes, is Sutter Medical Center Castro Valley. Our intent is to incorporate the Eden name at a future date, closer to the opening of the new hospital. For now, and primarily for legal reasons, the name is consistent with other Sutter Health hospitals. We do recognize the value and tradition of the name "Eden," especially in this region. We want to continue that tradition, and plan to do so. We all have a strong affinity for Eden. Thank you for asking! Hello.
