We have launched a Social Media outreach program, using the Web to keep you informed about our progress in building the new Sutter Medical Center Castro Valley, a Sutter Health affiliate, which will eventually replace Eden Medical Center; and we want to provide you with a forum to interact with us so we can address your questions and concerns. Our blog will serve as your Internet “headquarters,” where you can find updated information and links to our main Eden Medical Center web site, plus you’ll find links to other popular online social networks in the right sidebar, where we have started groups and online communities for further discussion about the new medical center.

So they are changing the name of the hospital?
Hello. The name as it is now, for planning purposes, is Sutter Medical Center Castro Valley. Our intent is to incorporate the Eden name at a future date, closer to the opening of the new hospital. For now, and primarily for legal reasons, the name is consistent with other Sutter Health hospitals.
We do recognize the value and tradition of the name “Eden,” especially in this region. We want to continue that tradition, and plan to do so. We all have a strong affinity for Eden. Thank you for asking!
